From the very beginning in the 16th century to her present day role in the motion picture industry. You’ll hear back stories, legends and folklore confirmed and debunked in Savannah Dan’s avant-garde style as a ” Stand-Up Historian”.

Savannah Dan's Story

With more than 16 years of experience and over 5,000 tours led, Savannah Dan is one of Savannah’s most recognized and entertaining guides. A U.S. Army veteran, former law enforcement officer and instructor (including five years with the Savannah Police Department), Dan brings discipline, presence, and charisma to every tour. Locals may also remember him as a morning radio personality on Z102’s #1-rated morning drive show, JT & Company.

As a historian and proud member of the Georgia Historical Society, Dan has been voted Savannah’s premier tour guide for 16 years, including back-to-back wins in 2020 and 2021. His work has been featured in Travel & Leisure Magazine, Frommer’s, Delta Sky Magazine, South Magazine, and Savannah Magazine, among others. Guests often remark that they’ve seen his name pop up in publications across the country (sometimes even ones Dan didn’t know he’d been featured in.)
